WINTER DRAG WARS

Winter is on it's way!  And you know what that means!  We can watch the grass grow aaaaannnnddddd Winter Drag Wars.  Here are this year's dates, times and general information.

Gates Open - 10am, Gate Fees - $15pp, Children under 12 FREE
Track Opens - 11am, Race Entry - $30pp

CLASSES: DIAL-YOUR-OWN
Dial Your Own racing is conducted on a handicap system and perfect for newcomers to drag racing.  It simply means, you nominate your own handicap time based on your qualifying / practice times.  This gives the slower of the racers a physical head start which is programmed electronically into our Compulink race system.  To win the race, you must cross the line first without going faster than your nominated time.  If you do go faster than your nominated time (breakout), you lose the race.  Sound simple?  Not to worry, we will teach you at the track!  

This should help keep the blood flowing through the cold Winter months.

NIGHT SPEED DRAG WARS

The ultimate battle between hard tuned street cars, where all you need
to participate is a license, warrant, rego and helmet. Featuring some of NZ's quickest Imports and Rotaries, Night Speed Drag Wars is one of the only events in the country where the participants can drive everything from their high horsepower street cars to nannas shopping trolley as fast as possible - in a legal and controlled environment.

Held on Friday nights throughout summer, a great night out for racers and spectators featuring burnouts, hot racing and a hotter crowd.  

Classes for Racing are:
C1 Turbo 4WD (Heads Up)
C2 Turbo 2WD (Heads Up)
C3 All Motor (Heads Up)
C4 Quick V8's (Heads Up)
C5 Motorbikes (DYO)
C6 Dial-Your-Own (any vehicle)
C7 Ladies (DYO)
C8 King of the Street (Heads Up)

All vehicles must be street legal so WOF, Rego and minimum Restricted Licence (for cars) and Learners Licence (for bikes 250cc or less) required.  No vehicles racing in any Drag Wars series can go faster than 11sec without Tech Inspection and a Drag Racing Licence.
